1. Create a site in 3 languages
2. Create a footer in FRENCH and translate it with WPML to ENGLISH and DUTCH
3. Give an identical name to those 3 HTML BLOCK footers, e.g. “Footer”
4. Go in Widgets > Footer Column and add the HTML Block
5. Check the dropdown list of HTML Block
AS IS : You’ll see only 1 Footer in the list (the French one).
TO BE : You should see 3 Footer in the list (French, English, Dutch)
Why did I name the 3 footers the same? Well because the name didn’t matter, I just named them all “Footer” and that’s all (there is no SEO or whatever behind). It was just more convenient to me to name all the footers “Footers” in all the languages.
I had to rename the footers like “Footer NL”, “Footer EN” to see them appear in the list of HTML Block
