Hi XTemos, I recently bought the WoodMart theme but I don’t have domain hosting yet. I bought it for my future website. Can I activate the theme on my localhost now to try it out, and then when I get my domain, can I move and reactivate the same license on the live site? Is there a way to do this?

    Hello,

Yes, you can activate WoodMart on your localhost and later move it to your live domain.

    How to proceed:

    – On localhost: Activate the theme and check the Development domain option during activation (WoodMart -> Theme license).
    – When going live:
    – Either keep localhost as your development site and activate the same purchase code on the live domain (one license allows 1 live + 1 staging/development domain for the same project), or
    – Deactivate on localhost first via WoodMart -> Theme license -> Deactivate, then activate on the live site with the same purchase code.

If you no longer have access to the old domain, you can deactivate it from your XTemos account under Your purchase codes and then activate on the new site.

    Hey,

Just to clarify—how many sites can I actually keep activated with one purchase code? Is it 2?

You mentioned one license allows 1 live + 1 development domain. Could I activate 2 live sites by marking one as a development domain instead? How does this actually work?

Also, you mentioned deactivating through “Your purchase codes” in my XTemos account, but I don’t see a deactivate/activate tab there. Could you show me exactly where this option is located on the XTemos website?

    Hello,

One regular license allows usage on a single website/project only.

However, you are allowed to activate the license twice — once on your live domain and once on a staging or development domain — for the same project. This is useful for testing and development purposes.

If you want to deactivate the license on the old domain and activate it on the new domain, deactivate the old activation via your account on our website and then activate it on the new domain in WoodMart -> Theme license.

You can manage all your purchase codes in your account on our website: https://xtemos.com/my-account/

After I deactivate the license on my old domain and activate it on my new domain, can I later deactivate it on the new domain and move it back to the old domain again? Are there any limits or restrictions on how many times I can switch domains with the same license?

    Hello,

Yes, you can deactivate the license on one domain and activate it on another whenever needed.

There is no limit to how many times you can switch domains, as long as the license is active on only one live domain at a time.

    Best Regards,
