Cannot Deactivate and/or Delete Contact Form 7 or MailChimp for WordPress.
-
Hi team – As of a few days ago, I saw that Contact Form 7 and MailChimp had been installed on the backend of my site via your theme/company.
I’ve tried to uninstall it via traditional methods but it automatically re-activates itself.
I also tried to deactivate/remove it from the Theme Plugins area and it simply spins/freezes.
Can you please tell me how to remove these?
Hello,
The Woodmart theme does not automatically install or force plugins like Contact Form 7 and Mailchimp on your site.
Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins, find Contact Form 7 and Mailchimp, and click Deactivate before deleting them.
Or you can delete it via the File Manager plugin for FTP:
Open the File Manager plugin, navigate to /wp-content/plugins/, locate the plugin folders (contact-form-7 and mailchimp-for-wp), and delete them manually.
If you have any questions feel free to contact us.
Best Regards,
Hello Aizaz,
I am disappointed in your response. It feels like you didn’t even read what I wrote.
I cannot deactivate them like you said.
Go ahead and try for yourself. You have my permission to remove Mailchimp, Contact Form, and Slider Revolution.
Hello,
It looks like the issue may be related to the Freesoul Deactivate Plugins installed on your site, as it has the functionality to manage plugin activation/deactivation on specific pages. Since you’re using the pro version, this plugin might be affecting the deactivation and removal of Contact Form 7 and MailChimp.
I recommend checking the Freesoul Deactivate Plugins settings to ensure it’s not preventing these plugins from being deactivated or deleted. You can refer to the plugin’s documentation here:

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting the plugin support team for further assistance.
Best Regards,
