Can’t add product review section to product page.

Using a custom Product page layout and adding either the Product reviews or Product rating items with WPBakery leaves a blank space that doesn’t display anything and the product page is unchanged.
By deactivating the custom layout and using the layout that Woodmart provides (customizable through the theme’s Single Product section in Theme settings), the reviews section isn’t displayed no matter if i choose Tabs or Separate section as the Reviews section location.
Question 1: What could be the reason for the reviews/rating sections not showing up?
Quesion 2: Can I modify this Woodmart default layout further than just through Theme settings? For example change it in Single Product settings then use WPBakery to add items to it?
