I have the same issue after I have updated to WooCommerce 8.5.1. Did you do the update as well? But I also have the issue with Storefront theme, so I don’t think it’s related to Woodmart.

I’m using WP-Optimize as caching solution. When I disable it, selecting variations is working again. However, adding an item to the cart does not work. The cart stays empty even if I get the message that it was added to the cart.

Let me give you a quick update about my findings:

    – Not being able to select variations is definitely tied to WP-Optimize in my case. (Screencast: https://lumiqy.de/WC8.5.1_issue_20240117.mp4)
    – Items not being added to the cart after selecting a variation is caused my OMGF plugin in my case. (Screencast: https://lumiqy.de/OMGF_WC8.5.1_issue_20240117.mp4)

2 related issue but different causes. Both issues occur with Storefront as well, so I guess it is not related to Woodmart.

At least in my case. I’m now in contact with support of WooCommerce, WP-Optimize and OMGF. It seems WC 8.5.1 brought some changes which were probably not intended…

    Hi jackennils,

    Thanks for your details.

Once you identified WP Optimize plugin caused the issues, I kindly recommend you go through each options to find out which specific option caused that, usually it related to JS or CSS options.

    Thanks Hung!

I get this error in my debug log:

[19-Jan-2024 16:10:30 UTC] PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /www/htdocs/w01a4bb6/web/staging-lumiqy2/wp-content/plugins/wp-optimize/minify/class-wp-optimize-minify.php:131) in /www/htdocs/w01a4bb6/web/staging-lumiqy2/wp-content/themes/woodmart/inc/integrations/woocommerce/functions.php on line 2311

    Hi Hung,

I figured out it is only a specific feature of WP-Optimize with is having a conflict.

It offers JS and CSS minification. And I can leave both options on, the only thing which is not working is the merging of multiple JS files into one file which is causing the issue of not being able to select a variation.
This came with the update of WC 8.5.1. So maybe there is a incompatibility between Woodmart and WC 8.5.1 which is the root cause for the WP-Optimize issue?

    Thanks for your details.

Please keep options activated, clear debug log and double check.

Well, everything is working as long as the merging of JS files is disabled in WP-Optimize. No errors. Just working as intended.

However, I still guess that something has changed with WC 8.5.1 so that combining the JS files of WC and Woodmart leads to this issue. Fortunately, it is a minor problem that hardly affects pagespeed noticeably. But it’s there.
