can't connect the attributes

Hi
I can’t connect the attributes that are in the product page with the real attributes.
for example, if i add gender to the attribute in the product page it won’t be added to the attributes.
how can i do that?

Hi,
Seems that you don’t have this attribute added to any products. You are using “Custom attribute” for “Gender” but don’t use the one created in Products -> Attributes.

how can i link them or use the same one?
