    Hello Team,

first of all, Happy New Year! I hope 2026 brings you all success and great projects.

My website is now working successfully, thank you for your previous support.

I need assistance with the following: in the mobile sidebar menu, I activated the “Show categories menu” option from the header builder. The problem is that the full hierarchy of categories that I added in the “Categories list” menu is not displayed with arrows as shown in the example in WoodMart on picture 3. I have attached screenshots for reference.

Could you fix this for me, please?

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Best regards,
    Nikola

    Hello,

The dropdown arrows only appear when a category has sub-menu items (child categories) or assigned HTML blocks in the Categories menu. If a category has no sub-items, no arrow will be displayed.

Please make sure your top-level categories contain subcategories in Appearance > Menus or that an HTML block is assigned. After adding them, the arrows will appear automatically in the mobile sidebar menu.

    Hello,

thank you for your explanation, I understand what you mean. However, I’m not sure how to implement it.

Each of my main categories already has subcategories – there are no empty ones. The result I achieved so far is here: https://go.screenpal.com/watch/cOV2rqnrEU8
, but these are not my actual categories.

Could you set it up for me so that the categories appear correctly in the mobile sidebar menu? I would like the structure to update automatically whenever I change a category, regardless of whether it’s a parent or child category, so I don’t have to manually adjust it each time.

    Best regards,
    Nikola

    Hello,

Your mobile menu is currently using a different menu, which is why the sub-menu items are not showing.

    To fix this:

    1. Navigate to WoodMart > Header Builder > Edit Current Header
    2. Switch to the Mobile Header view
    3. Open Mobile Menu Settings
    4. Select the menu that contains your categories with sub-items

    Here’s a screenshot for guidance: https://ibb.co/XSVBFH9

After this, the full category hierarchy with arrows will appear automatically in the mobile sidebar menu.

    Hello,

thank you for the explanation – that part is clear to me.

However, the main issue I wanted to share is that it is a big problem for me to manually add every main category and all of its subcategories in this menu (as shown here: https://go.screenpal.com/watch/cOVDjknrdvn).

My categories are dynamic and change frequently, which means I cannot realistically maintain this menu all the time. Every time I edit something in Products > Categories, I would have to manually add or remove each category and subcategory in the menu. This is simply not manageable.

What I am looking for is a solution where I can add a dropdown menu that automatically syncs with my product categories – so all categories and subcategories are updated automatically based on what I edit in Products > Categories.

Currently, I already have a main category visualization like this:
    https://go.screenpal.com/watch/cOVDj5nrdva

And I would like to create another menu version with dropdowns that works dynamically.

Could you please suggest a solution for this?

    Best regards,
    Nikola

    Hello,

The Mobile Menu normally uses a menu created in Appearance > Menus, which is a static WordPress menu. This is why you currently have to manually add and maintain all categories and subcategories there — it does not sync automatically with Products > Categories.

    Hello,

Just to confirm – does this mean that WordPress itself does not offer a native solution for creating a dynamic mobile menu that automatically syncs with Products > Categories?

Manually adding and maintaining all categories and subcategories in Appearance > Menus is not a viable option for me, as my categories change very often.

If there is truly no built-in solution in WordPress, could you please advise:

    • Is there an official way to contact WordPress support directly?
    • Where can I submit a ticket or feature request to WordPress?
    • Is there any recommended plugin or official workaround for this case?

I would appreciate your guidance on the best possible approach.

    Best regards,
    Nikola

    Hello,

WordPress menus (Appearance > Menus) are static, and there is no native WordPress feature that automatically syncs a menu with WooCommerce product categories. That’s why categories must normally be added manually.

    To answer your points:

WordPress support: WordPress itself doesn’t provide ticket-based support. The official channels are:
    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

    Alternatively, follow this guide:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/automatically-hierarchic-categories-in-menu/
    https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/390440/automatically-add-product-categories-to-nav-menu

    Hope this Helps!

    Best Regards,
