I am having an issue with the Product Categories widget in the Woodmart theme.
Even when I enable the “Only show children of the current category” option, the widget still displays all other product categories, even on category archive pages.
For example, on this page:
/categorie-produit/art-de-la-table/
I would like to display only the categories and subcategories that belong to “Art de la table”, but other unrelated categories like “Cuisine” or “Emballage” are still shown.
I confirm that the current page is a valid WooCommerce product category archive, and is_product_category() returns true.
To help you check whether this is a misconfiguration or a theme issue, I will temporarily create an admin account for your support team. Please use it carefully and only for diagnosis.
Also, I have another question about the filter widgets:
When we have a long list of filter options (for example: brands, colors, sizes), is there a way to:
Show only 5 or 10 items initially
And add a “Show more” button to reveal the rest
This would improve the user experience on both desktop and mobile.
