Category Carousel Sorting

In the category carousel, the categories are arranged in alphabetical order of the CATEGORY NAMES (as shown in the picture).
How can i rearrange them? Rearranging them in the alphabetical order of the URL SLUG of the categories will do fine for me.

There is no option to edit the layout (screenshot attached) in elementor.
Note: I did not create this layout and this came with the demo content. The same kind of category carousel is seen here

If you don’t want to use the layout then you can delete it. But if you delete it then the categories will not be displayed there.
If you want to change the order then you need to edit the categories element from the layout.

Sort by “Date last modified” is not working. I updated the name, icon, url slug of a category so that the specific category is shown first or last (ascending/descending). But it is not working.
