Change in main menu

Hi, hope you are doing well. I want to make a small change in the main category menu of the website. When I bring the mouse over the primary menu categories displayed in home page and I click them I am going to those pages. However, I want those buttons unclickable and go to submenu pages which are displayed in the hover when you bring the mouse to specific category item. How can we solve this problem?

Ps. In terms of pictures,
z1 – make unclickable
z2 – only keep them to be clickable

I saw the screenshots you attached.

You can only try to use the Custom link in the Categories Menu in the Appearance >> Menu.

But the category icons will not be displayed in the Custom links.

Sorry but it is not possible with Custom CSS. You need to use Custom links for the menu item to accomplish your required result.
