Change order for linked variations

Hi there, we would like to change the order of the linked variation show on the product page. Is there a way of doing this?

We tried changing it under attribute > order by, but does not work.

Navigate to Product > Attributes > drag and drop to reorder the attributes. It will reorder the linked variation.
