Change text Browse Categories

Hi all,

Trying to change the text “Browse Categories: in the menu.

<span class=”menu-open-label”>
Browse Categories </span>

I can’t find the right place or tool to change this text.
Also tried the loco translator plugin but it’s not working

You can translate/rewrite all theme and plugin texts via PO file in WordPress. Here is a video tutorial that should help you translate your website texts with a Loco Translate plugin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3NsDdMzsls&list=PLMw6W4rAaOgKKv0oexGHzpWBg1imvrval&index=3

Please check the video tutorial to see how to save the translation file correctly. You can remove the plugin and translations would remain. Also, translations would remain after each theme update.

In order to translate the Woocommerce strings, you need to create a separate translation in Loco > Plugins > Woocommerce in the same way as shown in the video.

Download the latest archive with our theme and take the woodmart/languages/woodmart.pot file and replace it in your theme. Then click the “Sync” button in Loco Translate plugin.

Could you be a bit more precise please? I downloaded the new theme file and tried to upload “woodmart/languages/woodmart.pot” To the loco translate plugin, but Im getting this error: Error: Only PO/MO uploads supported.

So I uploaded this .pot file with my sftp, also pressed the sync button then I changed browse categories to browse products and saved it and its still not up-dating.

Please help.

Your screen shows the attempt to rewrite “Browse products” to “Browse products” You need to find “Browse Categories”

Please insert the credentials into the Private content below the message area. I will check if this string is found.

Yes thats because I tried to change Browse Categories to Browse products..

Can you please let me know what I did wrong so I can learn and update the translation myself later?

You are repeating and copying text what you’ve already told me here in 2 posts ago.. are you even listening here Elise?

Do you have a link to the latest archive? Or a step by step explaining how to do this. Because I already tried this AND ITS NOT WORKING.

The WoodMart theme does not have the string “Browse products”, it has “Browse categories”, thus I admitted that the initial file was changed.

Please delete the translation for WoodMart’s child and try again.

Yes I tried to change the text from Browse categories >>> to Browse Products…..

Don’t see what I am doing wrong here. So trying again wont have effect.

So how do i change or restore the source text back to Categories?
