Change the default sorting rule on the product grid

I want to change the order the products appear in the grid. What is the current rule based on? Please advise how to change.

Navigate to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog > set the default product sorting.

thank you. There are only pre-defined rules for me to select. Is there a way that I can customize my own order of the products and provided a new rule? attached.

Sorting is default WooCommerce functionality and WoodMart does not control it.

Thank you for your reply. For the product per row, I have set it to 5, but my catalogue page, if you click Earrings from the main nav menu, is still 4 products per row. attached.
