Changing URL

Can you clearly tell me all the steps to changing the URL of my website. I am building the site with a temporary site and will then change to a new URL when it is finished….So I do not want to lose any of the layout and data that I have uploaded.

My account here in this dashboard has the old account so how do I update that to the new url? I can change the url in the settings in wordpress which is easy but how to update here?

Please use the Duplicator plugin to migrate the site to the new domain or site URL:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

This is the best way to migrate or move the complete site with all the settings and configuration.

Thanks for your reply….I do not want to move the site, I just want to change the URL to a new URL…..

Can I not just change the URL in the settings area of wordpress? If I can just change the URL in wordpress then how to I add the new URL to the license for woodmart in my dashboard here?

No worry about the licence, you can deactivate the licence from the old site then change the URL as mentioned here:

Then activate the same licence to the new site URL.
