WoodyPParticipantHello,
I’m trying to create a new checkout layout.
Where can I find the section for editing form fields?
I would like to move the position of the fields, for example move the emial up or deactivate some of them.
Thank youDecember 5, 2022 at 10:48 pm #426457
WoodyPParticipantI forgot, how can I disable header and footer on the checkout page?
Or how can I assign different Header and Footer for checkout?Thank you

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
1- Regarding the Checkout page Form fields, the thing is under the Custom Layout you can only move the elements as an whole related to Shipping details and Billing details: https://snipboard.io/jw3CAP.jpg
If you want to edit them then you would need to concern the WooCommerce Support in this regard because the Checkout page comes from WooCommerce by default and editing the fields on the Pages requires Customization and this is beyond our limitations and support policy scope. Hope you can understand our limitations.
2- Regarding disabling the Footer from the Checkout page, you need to edit the Checkout page with Gutenberg editor on your Site > there under the Page Settings options > click on Footer sub-tab > and under that enable the toggle button of Disable Footer: https://snipboard.io/RpxYhy.jpg
Regarding selecting specific Footer, right now there isn’t a separate option available unfortunately.
Regarding the Header, you can’t disable it through options. A Custom CSS would be required for that.
But you can select a different Header for the Checkout page from the same Gutenberg edit > Header sub-tab > there you can select the Header from the dropdown: https://snipboard.io/nb4Rj1.jpgBest Regards

WoodyPParticipantHello,
1. Too bad you don’t have this great feature you should consider it. Many plugins that allow you to customize the checkout also give you the ability to edit fields, move them, add them or disable them.
I was hoping I didn’t have to install another plugin.2. okay thanks

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Like we mentioned you earlier, the Checkout page comes from WooCommerce end so there are some limitations regarding editing or disabling the fields which we have just mentioned.
You would need to try out any third party Plugin in this regard eventually.
Although, upon your request we will also forward your suggestion to our Development Department for consideration in upcoming Theme Updates. If the Development Department finds it fit with the Theme environment then surely they will look through it.
Thanks for contacting us.
Have a great day !Topic Closed.
