The search scope should work without any plugins, it is a WordPress standard, this is your mistake

By default, the built-in WordPress search will include all posts and pages in its search results. WoodMart theme extended search for products by title. You need to please install plugin to expand the search range.

Could you please check how it works with some default WordPress themes like TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront to understand is it our theme issue or not?
