    Hello,

this is an helping request about unused CSS. We waited for a lot the same WoodMart CSS Generator on Basel, but it didn’t come. So we’re starting to think to clean the parent style.css to exclude a lot of features that we really are not using.

Can I have some problems if we will proceed in this way?

For example we do not use 6.8 Instagram. Just like we do not use 6.6 Team members, 6.10 Twitter, 7.2 Portfolio, 9.5 Bb-press, 9.9 Rev slider and many other things.

Can we clean all that paragraph? Or will we can have some problems?

    Thanks a lot.

    Hello,

Yes, if you are not using those elements you can remove their styles from the style.css file of course.

    Kind Regards

Till now I removed about 350 KB of unused CSS. I had some difficulties to clean the CSS, because you removed the paragraphs titles in the last version of style.css

Doesn’t you think that it could be useful to re-introduce that titles to permit to your customers to clean the CSS?

    Thanks a lot.

We have removed all comments from the CSS to optimize the file size. Sorry, but we don’t have plans to introduce it again.

In my opinion it was been an error. Because you could also introduce in your documentation a little explanation about how to remove easily some CSS that do not use with the theme. That kind of comments could be a good reference to do that.

You know perfectly how CSS weight is a common issue about web site speed. So I invite you to find a way to help us to reduce that weight on the front-end.

As I wrote before we removed partially some CSS that we are not using manually, but it was been an hard work. Replicate it on each update could be not the best.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Sorry, but currently there is no possible way to customize the CSS file and prevent losing changes in future updates.

    Kind Regards
