Close dropdown menu

How can i close the dropdown menu by having the mouse out of the dropdown menu? Or by clicking outside the dropdown menu?

You can control how the dropdown menu opens by changing the Open on mouse event option.

Please go to Appearance > Menus, edit the relevant menu item, and under Open on mouse event, select Hover.

That’s what i have done. I have set the menu to open on click but how can i make the menu close by clicking everywhere outside the dropdwon menu? Or with a hover outside the menu?

When Open on mouse event > Click is selected, the dropdown should close when clicking outside the menu.

We have checked the behavior, and this functionality is working correctly on our test site. However, on your website, it does not appear to be working as expected, which may indicate a conflict or custom code affecting the menu behavior.

Please provideWordPress admin access in the Private Content section so we can check the issue directly on your website and investigate what is preventing the dropdown from closing when clicking outside.

We have checked the menu behavior on your website. When the dropdown is opened by clicking the menu item, the full-width mega menu opens as expected, and clicking outside the mega menu correctly closes it.

We also checked the area you mentioned regarding the full-width element. The mega menu itself is designed to span the available width when you choose the drop down design to full width, but it does not prevent the dropdown from closing when you click outside of it.

If the issue you are experiencing is specifically that clicking inside the mega menu does not close it, this is expected behavior: clicks within the opened mega menu are treated as interactions with the menu, so the dropdown remains open.
