Colour Thumbnail under product – Auto Select?

Hi,
I hope all is well.
I Wondered if it was possible that when a colour is selected in the quick show under the main product image, if the user goes to quick shop or the main product page that the colour that has been selected will be automatically selected when clicked through?.
This will allow the user to just pick a size and skip having to pick the colour again.

Thank you very much for choosing our theme and for contacting us.
The quick view option allows showing all the attribute sets and selects both on color and size without going to the product page. You need to enable “Show variations on quick view” in the Theme Settings > Shop.

Thanks for the reply.
What we really need is so that when you select click on the small thumbnail that it defaults to that colour on the quick shop tab, is that possible? see attached screen shot.
