Compatibility with YITH Brands Addon plugin

Hello,

we encounter a compatibility problem between the Woodmart and this plugin that we have been using for some time YITH Brand addons.

We use the plugin to create a product filter based on the brand and category.

With the old theme it worked correctly but with Woodmart this problem occurs: the products are not filtered by category but simply all the products of the brand are shown.

How can we fix it?

This plugin may be not compatible with WoodMart as WoodMart theme has equal functionality.

You can set up brands and filter the product by brand: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/faq-guides/how-to-setup-brands/

You can set the Attribute filter to be shown in a specific category. In addition, you can use the attributes as the custom labels: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/faq-guides/add-custom-labels/

Do you think it is possible to disable the theme functionality and keep that of the YITH Brand addons plugin? I’m asking because the plugin is already linked to over 2000 products and changing them all would take some work.

I have double-checked with our developers and they say our brand functionality should not influence the plugin performance.

Please make the full backup of your site and check the issue on the Storefront theme to detect if our theme causes the problem.
Alternatively, please confirm the permission to test on the Storefront theme.

we will do some tests. What I can tell you is that before installing Woodmart we used all the same plugins, the only change we made was the installation of Woodmart.

The plugins that were compatible with the previous theme may conflict with WoodMart.

Please deactivate all the plugins except these ones:

Slider Revolution
WPBakery Page Builder or Elementor
Woodmart Core
Contact Form 7
MailChimp for WordPress
WooCommerce
Safe SVG

If the problem has gone, activate the plugins one by one, checking the issue to detect which one causes the problem.
