j.sneorParticipantHello. I set up a new wordpress site, then put the Woodmart theme on the site and made sure all needed plugins were there for Woodmart. Then I installed a prebuilt website (alternative energy) but it looks nothing like the demo.
Demo: https://woodmart.xtemos.com/demo-alternative-energy/demo/alternative-energy/I was going to work with the home page and adjust as needed. Also, I need the portfolio page (I have to make a project page):
Demo site: https://woodmart.xtemos.com/portfolio/demo/alternative-energy/Please explain how I properly install the website so it looks like the full demo site.

j.sneorParticipantI reinstalled woocommerce and the demo site and now the main page looks right, but portfolio still does not or work like the demo site.

j.sneorParticipantActually no, reinstalling the demo messed up the navs. It shows each nav entry 2 times now. *grrrr* I have done NO work in the site, just installed the theme, the needed plugins and the demo site.
April 21, 2026 at 12:16 pm #716534Hello,
I have checked your site,e and the issue is that the demo content might not have been imported correctly, or some elements were imported in a different format than expected.
Please try to deactivate the third-party plugins and import the demo again.
Note that our dummy content works only on a fresh installation. If you have some content already, it will conflict with your existing posts, and most of the content will not be imported correctly.
If the issue still remains, let me know which demo you want to import so I can further check on your site and give you a possible solution.
Best Regards

j.sneorParticipantDear Aizaz,
I started a brand new WP site, then installed JUST Woodmart. Then I went to install the demo site and it required Woocommerce, so that was added. Then I installed the demo site.
NOTHING else is on the site.
Exact same issue as my initial message. I did everything you requested with a fresh site. Please help install the demo site so the portfolio page works like the demo: https://woodmart.xtemos.com/portfolio/demo/alternative-energy/April 22, 2026 at 10:57 am #716643Hello,
Now I have checked your site and the demo is imported fine on your site.
Regarding the portfolio page, please now check back your site and check the portfolio page, navigate to Pages > edit portfolio page and make the page template “portfolio”.
Best Regards

j.sneorParticipantAizaz,
No, it IS set to use that template (see image).
The portfolio page does not display as expected from the Demo, NO projects show.
If you think it is a simple adjustment, make sure it works on the front end, please make it and tell me what you adjusted. But I have been trying to get the demo site running as it should for 4 days now.-

j.sneorParticipantThank you Aizaz. Would you mind telling me what you did to fix it, in case I run into this again with a demo site?
April 24, 2026 at 8:57 am #716816Hello,
Navigate to Settings > Permalinks > and change structure to Postname.
Best Regards
