Correction of the size of the thumbnails of the widgets and product gallery !!

In the product card in the sidebar widgets and in the image gallery of products, thumbnail sizes are compressed using the css method. Because of this, you have to download large images and then the browser reduces them to the required.
How in the subject can you register new sizes of these existing miniatures (thumbnails) ?
