I created coupon code via WooCommerce but when I try it system says “Please enter a gift card code that follows the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, where X can be any letter or number.”
This issue happens because your site has a third-party plugin for gift cards that is overriding the default WooCommerce coupon field and expecting gift card format codes (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX).
Since WooCommerce standard coupons don’t follow this format, the plugin is blocking them. Please try to check the plugin that you are using for this.
