As we know, Woodmart uses brands as attributes. On the latest Woocommerce release, there is finally a built in brand functionality. Do we think we will migrate to the default functionality?

This is becoming an issue, as I want to use coupons and have them apply to certain brands only, or exclude certain brands. I can not use this functionality as my brands are attributes.

    How can this be accomplished?

    Hello,

Currently, WoodMart uses brands as a custom attribute, which means they are treated as taxonomy-based attributes rather than actual product brand taxonomy.

You can create brands using Products > Brands. Then, reassign products to those native brands. This will allow coupon rules and brand filters to work as intended with WooCommerce’s built-in logic.

    Best Regards,

Is there a plan in the future to use the native brand function for theme?

    Hello,

At the moment, WoodMart continues to use its attribute brand taxonomy for compatibility and flexibility with existing features. However, we are aware of the new built-in WooCommerce brand functionality and understand its advantages, especially with features like coupon conditions and filtering.

You can leave a future request here – https://woodmart.canny.io/feature-requests so our developers can take it into account.

    Best Regards,
