Create custom link to open side login widget

Hi,
I would like to create a link or button that will open the side login widget that opens if you click on the login icon in the main menu. So a created a link with class login-side-opener, because that’s what I supposed should work, because that’s the class in the functions.js that should react to a click action and open the sidebar. But it doesn’t work. The link is in a shipping option called Custom shipping.
Can you please advise?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to create such a button without customization which is not covered by our support.
