Hello Woodmart Team:
I am contacting you to report serious usability issues with the Select2 dropdown menus (Country, State, and City fields) on the checkout and cart (shipping calculation) pages. These issues affect both desktop and mobile users.
IMPORTANT: I have performed a full conflict test.
I deactivated all external shipping and address plugins (Envia, Ciudades de Colombia, etc.).
I purged all server and site caches (Varnish/Redis).
The problems persist using only Woodmart and WooCommerce.
Here is the detailed report:
1. “Immediate Closure” Issue (Desktop):
When clicking on a dropdown menu (e.g., City or State), the list opens, but immediately closes upon release of the mouse button (move up). It only stays open if I hold down the mouse button. Diagnosis: Since this occurs with no other plugins active, it appears that the theme’s JS event listeners are not correctly handling click propagation, forcing Select2 to close immediately.
2. No activation tapping/clicking (Mobile): On mobile devices the interaction is not working:
Unresponsive tapping: Tapping the field often has no effect. Multiple taps are required.
3. Ghost looping: If a value is already selected, tapping the field often switches to the next value in the list instead of opening the dropdown menu’s search box.
4. Visual offset (CSS issue): When the dropdown menu finally opens in mobil version, the list container (.select2-dropdown) appears vertically offset (downward), creating a gap between the input field and the list.
Request: Please investigate this native conflict in the Woodmart Select2 implementation. Since this is happening without third-party plugins, I need a solution to ensure a stable checkout process.
My environment: WordPress + WooCommerce + Woodmart (latest version).
Main tests performed in Google Chrome (standard and incognito modes).
Thank you.
