August 23, 2026 at 7:45 pm #727545Hi there,
To investigate the critical error, please provide FTP access via the forum’s Private Content field and specify the path to the relevant error log files (for example, the PHP or WordPress debug log).
This will allow us to review the exact errors occurring during the WooCommerce installation and determine whether the issue is related to the theme. We will check what can be addressed within the theme’s scope.
Kind regards,

m.doblerParticipantHi Serg,
just one additional piece of information regarding my previous message:
August 23, 2026 at 11:56 pm #727550
m.doblerParticipantHello,
I have now managed to install the theme and the demo content successfully.
However, I have run into another problem when trying to customize the homepage.
I originally assumed that the homepage would be editable with Elementor, WPBakery, or another modern visual page builder. Instead, when I open the homepage for editing, I am confronted with a very large amount of block/HTML-style source code containing elements such as:
wp:wd/slider
wp:wd/row
wp:wd/column
wp:wd/titleI cannot seriously be expected to customize an entire commercial homepage by manually editing hundreds of lines of code.
Could you please tell me exactly which visual editor is intended to be used for editing this WoodMart Books demo homepage, and how I can open the page in that editor?
If an additional plugin or WoodMart component is required for visual editing, please let me know exactly which one needs to be installed or activated.
I purchased and installed this theme specifically because I want to customize the supplied demo layout visually, not rebuild or edit the homepage manually in source code.
Thank you.
Best regards
Michael DoblerAugust 24, 2026 at 8:43 am #727555Hi there,
The currently installed demo was imported in the Gutenberg version. Since the Classic Editor plugin is active on your website, you are seeing the Gutenberg block markup instead of the visual editor.
Please deactivate the Classic Editor plugin and then try editing the homepage again. The content should then be available for visual editing through the Gutenberg editor rather than as code.
Alternatively, you can remove the current content, install Elementor, and import the demo content in the Elementor version. To do this, first enable Elementor in the Theme Settings -> Others.
Let me know if it works for you.
Kind regards,

m.doblerParticipantHello,
I believe there is a fundamental misunderstanding here.
Telling me to deactivate the Classic Editor and use Gutenberg instead is not a solution for me. I simply do not work with Gutenberg. One of the first things I normally do with a new WordPress installation is disable Gutenberg and install the Classic Editor.
I do use Elementor. However, when I purchase a finished theme or template, I use Elementor in the way I expected to use it here: I open the already designed page and replace images, texts, and other content with my own.
I purchase a premium theme with a ready-made demo precisely because I do not want to design or rebuild the entire website myself. If I had to recreate the whole website in Elementor, I could just hire a programmer or web designer to build it for me. In that case, purchasing a ready-made demo would make no sense for me.
That is exactly why I purchased this theme: I liked the finished Books demo and wanted to use it as the basis for my new website – keeping the existing design and page structure and simply replacing the content with my own.
Therefore, I need a clear answer to one question:
Is this exact Books demo available as a complete, ready-made Elementor version that I can import, with the entire existing design and page structure already built, so that I only need to replace images, texts, products, and other content?
If yes, please explain exactly how I can replace the currently installed Gutenberg version with the complete Elementor version.
If not, then unfortunately this theme is not suitable for me.
And this is also my main issue with the purchase: If it had been clearly stated on the demo page or in the product description that the Books demo I selected was based on Gutenberg, or that it was not available as a complete Elementor version, I would not have purchased this theme in the first place.
I have not only paid approximately €62 for the theme, but I also spent around four hours yesterday just getting the installation to work. Discovering afterwards that the demo I selected was built with an editor that I fundamentally do not use is extremely frustrating.
If there is no complete Elementor version of this exact Books demo, I would therefore like to request a refund.
If a refund is refused, I will describe my actual experience in an honest review. Other customers should be able to clearly see before purchasing which editor a particular demo is built with and whether a complete Elementor version is available. This allows them to decide whether the product is suitable for the way they work before spending money and several hours of their time.
Kind regards,
Michael DoblerAugust 24, 2026 at 9:01 am #727557Hi there,
Yes, the Books prebuilt website is available in an Elementor version. It is a complete prebuilt layout, so you can edit its existing sections, texts, images, and other content with Elementor.
Please follow these steps to replace it with the Elementor version:
1. Create a full website backup, as importing a full prebuilt website is recommended on a clean installation.
2. Go to WoodMart → Plugins and install/activate Elementor.
3. Navigate to Theme Settings → Other and select Elementor as the Current builder.
4. Remove the currently imported Gutenberg demo content in Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Prebuilt websites.
5. Open the Prebuilt Websites section and import the Books website again while Elementor is selected as the current builder. After the Elementor version is imported, open the homepage using Edit with Elementor. There will be no need to work with Gutenberg block markup.
Kind regards,

m.doblerParticipantHi,
that sounds great, thank you!
Since I haven’t made any changes to the website yet, I will simply start with a fresh installation and select Elementor before importing the Books demo. That seems to be the cleanest and easiest solution.
Thank you very much for your help and support. I really appreciate the quick clarification.
