Cross-sales

Unfortunately, we have another problem with the shopping cart. This time it’s about cross-sales. If we copy this widget from an existing Woodmart page, we still see “Cross-sales” in the data source. Unfortunately, if we then insert this widget into a shopping cart page, the data source field is empty. The “Cross-sales” option can no longer be selected.
The page still works, but if you make and save a change, the display unfortunately no longer works.
What can we do here?

Did you try to check how it works without Layout? Just on the default Cart page.

I tried again. I can also copy the widget from the Woodmart site into a new WordPress site. The result is always the same (see the first screenshots). You can also take a look at our site.

You need to configure the Cross-Sells products in the product settings to make it appear. I have edited your “Meerwasser Reinigungsmilch” product and added a cross-selling product and it is showing fine. Thank you for the info.
We already understood that and have applied it to previous shop templates. We’re not interested in using individual products with the cross-sell option.
We’re concerned with the widget from Woodmart, which can’t be used on another page. I can copy the widget from the Woodmart page in Elementor and paste it into another page. But unfortunately, I can no longer select the “Cross-sales” data source.
And this is exactly the point we’re interested in.
It works somehow. But I’m afraid it’s not stable.
Please check the screenshots from the first post again. Then you’ll see what I mean.
I hope I don’t always have to wait a day for an email reply 🙂

I understand the concern. The “Cross-sell” data source is available only on the default cart layout that comes with Woodmart. When you copy the widget to another page, Elementor cannot recognize the “Cross-sell” source because it is bound to the cart template functionality.

That’s why the option appears empty when pasted elsewhere—it’s not designed to be reused outside the cart template. While it may still display for now, it won’t be reliable or stable.
