Currency symbol changes automatically on woodmart-shopping-cart in header

hello.
I have overriden the currency symbol with the woocommerce filter woocommerce_currency_symbol, which works almost everywhere. However, on the cart widget in the header that is configured through WoodMart HeaderBuilder, the currency symbol first loads as expected (overriden), then switches back to its old state.
Since it only happens on the Cart Widget of WoodMart HeaderBuilder I have strong reason to assume that this is theme related. Any help is appreciated.
