RobertPParticipantHi,
How can I customize the registration for my site in the sense that I want to add a MANDATORY T&Cs checkbox with an “I agree with the Terms & Conditions” text? Users should not be able to press the Register button without this checkbox being ticked.
I think the theme should have this checkbox by default because nowadays is a legal requirement.
Thank you!

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
The default WooCommerce suggest the option to put Terms and Conditions only at checkout. A user can register however he would not be able to purchase anything without checking this option at checkout. In order to configure this options, please:
Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout Tab > find Terms and Conditions option and set the page, in result the checkbox, requiring to agree to Terms and Conditions will appear in the checkbox.
If you still need such option on the stage of account creating, you will need to find a plugin for membership access or something like this cause neither default WordPress nor Woocommerce provides such an option.
Best Regards

RobertPParticipantYes, I knew about the T&Cs on the Checkout page. But I needed one for the membership access.
I’ve encountered another issue with the T&Cs Page on checkout. If the T&Cs is created with the backend editor (WPBakery), then when you press on the terms & conditions link on the Checkout page, the terms will appear in a box opening above it and it shows the html text of whatever I put on the page using the editor (Please see attached – I just inserted a “Tour” for testing purposes, but it can be anything really.)
Am I doing anything wrong? Or you’re telling me that it’s gotta be just plain text and that I cannot create a customized T&Cs page built nicely in WPBakery?
Thank you.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You are trying to insert VC shortcode inside Woocommerce it is wrong. You can insert only plain text there.
If you want to add the additional function you would better find a plugin or customize files of WooCommerceBest Regards

RobertPParticipantThank you for your answers.
Actually, no, I just want that when you click on the “terms & conditions” to just open a new tab redirecting to the T&Cs Page.
Why is it that if it’s plain text it happens just that (i.e. it opens the Page in a new tab), but if it’s a page created in VC, it doesn’t open a new tab, but opens the box in my attachment instead, showing all those shortcodes.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Please navigate to Woocommerce > Settings > Checkout and set the page for terms and conditions. By default, a page created in WP Bakery builder is opened correctly. Do not insert any shortcodes there WooCommerce does not support. If you need something special you will have to find a plugin or customize the WooCommerce.
Best Regards

RobertPParticipantI’m afraid you didn’t understand me.
I did set my page for terms and conditions in Woocommerce-Settings-Checkout. But I didn’t use any kind of shortcodes or whatever, the only thing that I did to it was to add an empty “Tour” element in a row. That’s all. So basically, whatever I add in WPBakery to this page, it will show as shortcodes when pressing the terms & conditions link on Checkout page on the website. You can see in my first attachment what happens when I click on terms & conditions.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Please disable all the plugins not related to the theme and provide us admin access.
