Good Day, I am having an issue with updating my custom sidebar.

I have selected the checkbox within WPBakery Page Builder Role Manager to edit WoodMart Sidebars. I then went into my custom sidebar and tried to add a text field as an example. I selected the “update” button and then after the webpage updates, the text field is gone and WPBakery Page Builder puts me back to the beginning with no text field.

I even tried a new unpublished sidebar and created a test field and same thing happens upon publishing.

What am I missing? Why doesn’t it save my edits?

Okay so I tested out a separate theory that I had and it seems that in order to actually edit these sidebars you have to do it within your Appearance> widgets settings. You can’t physically change anything inside of the sidebar>custom sidebar name settings. So for anyone that stumbled into this same issue. You have to go to your Appearance> widgets settings and there you will find your custom sidebar which you can then update with the options available within the widgets access. It doesn’t, (to me atleast) seem as if you are able to actually edit these sidebars within the WPBakery Page Builder within the Sidebars menu.

    Hello,

Yes, the sidebars are not editable using the WP-Bakery Page builder. So to populate the sidebars you need to Go to Appearance >> Widgets.

Awesome! Also another thing just to help if anyone does come looking through this thread for answers. If you are wanting to use a Gravity form within your WoodMart Custom Sidebar, don’t add the physical form into the custom sidebar from withing your widgets, instead, add the shortcode that creates the form and then you can also populate fields through this way.

Just a useful tip for those wanting to use populated fields inside a forum inside a custom sidebar.
