Default “List/Grid”, but then impossible to show “2 colums” on mobile

Dear,
By default my site shows the “List/Grid” view
However, the consequence of this is that the setting “Number of columns on mobile” doesn’t work at all anymore. I’ve defined to display 2 columns but it doesn’t work. I want a responsive setting :
by default, List on desktop
by default, Grid on mobile
Please provide a way to fix this.

This option is not applicable for the mobile, it will be one item in the row in this configuration.

That’s NOK at all. You provide a setting “number of columns on mobile” which therefore does not work in this case. You can’t give a supposedly “responsive” setting when it does not work.
Furthermore, the “List” view on Mobile is not at all a “list” view, it’s actually simply a 1-column grid view. Why don’t you improve this? I can’t accept the current display on mobile, it’s not nice at all.

following to comment #353759, you can see in the screenshot below that the mobile so-called “list” view is not a list view. It’s in reality a 1-column grid view => therefore, this doesn’t suit me
