Display image description in lightbox

On our gallery page, we would like to make use of the “gallery” module with captions.

Is it possible to enable a brief description to be displayed in addition to the already working caption title?

Please enable “Images captions on Photo Swipe lightbox” in the Theme Settings > Product page.

In the theme settings as well as on the module, the captions are enabled.
Only the caption title is visible on the lightbox, however the description is not displayed at all.
