Dont display out of stock variation products

When the “Hide out of stock items from the catalog” option is selected, products with attributes that are out of stock will still show in search results for the “Filter by Attribute” widget.
This is not ideal, because we sell products by size. Can you help me fix this.

Please check how it works with the default WordPress theme just to check whether the issue is with our theme or not.

Because the products are WooCommerce functionality and our theme doesn’t influence.

This happens with the default WordPress theme too.
I will like to make the variations that are out of stock doesn’t show in the results.
This issue was supposedly fix with woocommerce 4.0 has they noted here:
https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/20689
