Don’t understand how theme settings and layouts work together

I don’t understand how the two parts ‘theme settings’ and ‘layouts’ work, please explain clearly to me. I see that when I haven’t created ‘layouts’ for a single product, all parameters are applied according to the way I adjusted in ‘theme settings’, but when I create ‘layouts’ for a single product, I see that most of the parameters from ‘layouts’ are applied, there are a few things like: border of the background image or buy now button are applied according to theme settings. And there are some display options i enable in theme settings but if in layouts i don’t put that option in the container then it doesn’t appear…. in general, because I’m just starting to use it, I’m confused, I hope you can explain clearly and easily to help me understand, thank you very much

If you do not use Layouts, the default product page appears that comes from WooCommerce, thus for the default product page the settings come from Theme Settings.

If you want to make a custom product page, you use Layouts where most settings come from Layouts elements. Some settings can be inherited from Theme Settings in Layouts when the appropriate option is enabled for the element – https://img001.prntscr.com/file/img001/V21pW2f3ReCps6bWTkFx6A.png
