    Hello,

once uploaded the dummy content, I end up to have the home pages of the different demos, but the rest is largely missing.
For example from the menu Shop, all the content is missing, there’s no Shop Styles, Product Pages, Product Features and Shop Pages.
For example I needed Shop/Shop Pages/Sidebar right in order to use this page without waste time to understand how build it without having an example, but is missing.

The same apply to home coffee, I’ve uploaded the content ’cause I liked how products where displayed, but instead of having coffee, I have clothes and structure page like this one:

    https://demo.xtemos.com/basel/shop/other/coffee/juhos-bremer/

with weight, roasted etc is missing

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us.

Actually, all shop styles, product layouts, and features are not regular pages. They are simple links to our demo pages with custom options (configured for demo only). And it is natural that they can’t be imported because you can have only one shop page and then simply configure its options and choose what kind of hover for products to use, sidebar position and so on in Theme Settings -> Shop.

Coffee products are simple examples of variable product with attributes that were imported with dummy content as “Variable Product Example”. It may be a bit different but you can create or rename attributes as you wish.

    Kind Regards

I understand that they are simple links to your demo pages, but other themes comes with these pages set up in the dummy, so that I user can use them as skeleton to speed up the process, that’s also why I choose your theme, thinking that I would have found in the zip file what I find in the demo. Yours is the theme number 5th that I’ve purchased on themeforest plus another one in php. All I’ve found online in the demo, comes also in the zip file, here instead basically the dummy content are merely landing pages and that’s all.

Now, I understand that for you easy says “you can replicate the same demo structure, going here and there” but you are WP and php dev, I’m not, and people chose pre built themes in WP because of a lack of knowledge or time.
You are asking me to go in ThemeSettings -> Shop fine, and then? The Documentation of Basel it’s extremely poor, you are just listing all the voices under Theme Settings, while like other dev you had to go through it and explain what something do and what not.

In the past, already a guy told you that the documentation was poor, and it is. You know how to use the functions in Shop, I don’t and to find out I have to figure out it just clicking on the buttons here and there and see what happen, it’s just crazy and right now I have $59 of a theme with tons of functions that I have to learn to use by clicking on them and see what happens, and not dummy content for the most important pages, just useless landing pages of the demo.
You have to state this on your page man, ’cause it’s not normal at all, if I purchase the theme I do aspect to find the dummy content, which is not always all the images, and will be fine for the 99% of people, but jeez the pages in order to learn yes, they are a must.

So now, please, address me where I find the instructions to build this pages:
    https://demo.xtemos.com/basel/shop/?shopright
    https://demo.xtemos.com/basel/shop/other/coffee/juhos-bremer/

    thanks

We understand your opinion and sorry that you have troubles working with our theme.
But all your previous themes simply were not able to import for example two versions of the shop page: one with sidebar and one without sidebar. Anyway, with any theme on the market, even top sellers you will need to go to theme settings and choose the position of the sidebar for your website. We will take into account your note about the documentation and will spend more time to improve it and create some kind of knowledge base.

    1. Sidebar on the shop page can be enabled in Theme Settings -> Shop -> Shop page layout. Widgets can be added in Appearance -> Widgets.

    2. And here is a tutorial that will help you configure your variable products https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gp3SMkKvUvs

The other themes I have, are just compatible with WooCommerce, they do not come with it and the eCommerce I have are built in bootstrap by my own.

    What about the header menu?

I’m used that to create a menu I go in WP setting Appearance/Menus. For example I have to create under Shop a sub menu that address to right pages:

    Shop
    – Products A
    – Products B

I’ve an empty page called “Shop”, I’ve created two pages called Products A and Products B in which specific products will be displayed and then I’ve created the menu in Appearance/Menus.

Now I see that in the demos, the menu Shop content with all its sub menus, it’s not built within WP Appearance/Shops but is under HTML Blocks.
So what’s the deal in this case? Where do I have to build the menu that will lead the customer to product page with filters and sidebar?

Another thing, I can’t find where “My account-login” is placed, I mean the text that appear in the header menu, in my case the e-commerce header menu.

Where is placed the text color setting? I have some page content written in black, some page content written in white as well the footer.
I’ve a row with title and infobox. Title is correctly displayed in black, while the text inside the infobox is displayed in white instead of black.

    thanks

    Hi,

You can build your menu in a regular way as with all other themes adding your submenu items via Appearance -> Menus. But also, you can create a mega menu dropdown with any Visual Composer element with HTML Blocks. Here is a detailed instruction on another topic that should help you create a mega menu dropdown http://xtemos.com/forums/topic/how-to-set-menu-to-megamenu-like-your-demo-pages/#post-2607

My account – login links are located in the file inc/template-tags.php file in our theme folder.

What are text color settings you looking for? If you write your content in dark or white, you can set a color scheme for the text for the Visual Composer column or text block element.

Could you please send us a link where we can see the problem with infobox?

    Hello,

I’m fine with the menu, I didn’t need a mega menu but I need to understand the difference between the usual way via WP Menu and HTML Blocks.
Text color switch between black and white (dark text/light text) in the visual composer component it’s fine, was a cache problem. Solved after a purge.

Problem now has been found where you have placed the social icons that appear at the top of the footer under the logo, which explain furthermore that the documentation is not detailed and works for you and for anyone else who has time to wast clicking around randomly in order to find how the theme works.

If I go in Theme Settings/Footer where every noob aspect to find these social icons and the functions to change them, select between share and follow and add the link, there’s nothing.

If you go in Theme Settings/Social you don’t know exactly what you are doing, it’s not clear if you are affecting all the social icons places in the website or just some social icons.

If you go in Theme Settings/Social/Link to social profiles, you will have a list of social media and their empty url fields.
In someone of them you will find placed a “#” which will make you think that the “#” make shows up the social icon under the logo at the top of the footer. So you will remove it, but nothing will change, the same icon will remain there.
There are like 16 social media icons, and on top of the footer are displayed 5 of them and there’s no clue from where they come.

Then you go in Theme Settings/Share buttons and you find out that the icons on top of the footer are what you define under Theme Settings/Social as [social_buttons type="follow"] but you also mention [social_buttons type="share"] and [social_buttons].

Now, since for some theme you add or remove the social icons using the widgets that create the footer itself, if I open the widget Footer Column 1 and I go in text, I find:

    <p style=”text-align:center;”></p>
    [social_buttons]
    <br>
What kind of social icons should be displayed since those ones displayed and managed under Theme Settings/Share buttons should correspond to [social_buttons type="share"] and not to [social_buttons]?

I like your theme seriously, but man, your documentation is useless and without a proper one I have to jump from one point to another and often click things randomly just to discover what will happen, it’s an incredible waste of time.
I get it [social_buttons] display nothing but jeez.

    Hi,

[social_buttons] shortcodes display share buttons that can be configured (turn on/off some links) in Theme Settings -> Social -> Share buttons. So it is the same as [social_buttons type="share"]. We will include this information in our documentation.
