Dynamic Filters Product Search Filters Issue

Dear support

Am using Elementor Builder and i notice that for some strange reason your product search filter widget is not working properly.

I choose attributes as a filtering option and when am trying to filter with attributes is not showing my attributes is showing only categories it seems like there is a bug with your filter. (Screenshots Attached)

Your widget is giving multiple options for filtering example (Attributes, Product Categories, Stock and some more) since i want to filter by attributes am choosing the attributes option but above the field that am supposed to make a search for attributes and add them to the filter it says (Categories) so it seems like your system is ignoring my input that i want to filter by attributes and not with categories as a result to not showing my available attributes and use them in my product search forms.

If the products in this or that category are not assigned to an attribute, the filter does not appear as there is nothing to sort out. This is the fundamental Woocommerce functionality and WoodMart filters cannot change that.

As am saying am choosing the attributes option in the widget but instead of attributes is showing product categories, so it’s an issue from your theme itself…

I wasted 15 minutes of my time to explain it to you as clear as possible but seems like you didn’t focus while reading my message and you understand something completely different, very sad.

WoodMart custom filters feature allows you to show the filters in any place and page, at the same time, it works the same way as Woocommerce filters work: https://gyazo.com/243b4635f341bf1148fb8ea97847235b

As soon as you select the attribute, it shows all the products regardless of the category. And when I selected LPG, I got all the products containing LPG.

If you test the filters with the default Woocommerce attribute filter, you would get the same result.

The issue am facing is not in the frontend in fact works perfect without issues.

The issue am facing is in the backend, in elementor widget but seems like you didn’t even read my messages, please transfer the ticket to AZIZ which he is more professional and actually reading the tickets of his customers…

I saw the video you have attached:
I’ve investigated the widget’s options, and unfortunately, it doesn’t currently offer the ability to display attributes instead of categories in the filter items. Here you can choose categories of pages you want to display filters.

Look the video again there is option to choose attributes, and this is still active if you visit one of my filters that i created in the shared url’s that i mentioned in previous answer you’ll see that i have some filters on that are filterring with attributes value.

Also as you can see in woodmart widget is giving the option to filter by attribute just because there is an issue with your elementor widget when selecting attribute as a filtering option it glitches and shows categories…

Sorry to say it is only for choosing the category where you want to display the attributes. This is not for choosing the attributes.

Look my filters already created in the live website and you will understand….

Before 2 months that i created the HTML block with the woodmart product search filter i choose attributes as filters and i choosed (For Sale) under the buying option where you can see in the link bellow that shows the search filter.

But now before 7 days that i try to edit the product search form and add also in the buying type the (For Rent) attribute when i choose attributes is not showing me a single result, hence is not showing also the existing filters that you see in the live website, that is a bug.

I really can’t stress this enough why you don’t understand the issue and you keep on throwing random answers, i explain everything to you in detail provided evidences, videos, screenshots, links everything and you keep on answering the same thing. It seems you didn’t understand yet what the issue is or you guys cant fix it and find excussions.

I think you misunderstand the feature of Show in Cateogies, this categories field selects the categories to where you want to show these attributes, please see and read this note under the Field: https://ibb.co/T08Cq79

This field is not for selecting the attributes, the attributes will auto-show when you select the Filter type and Attribute here: https://ibb.co/RHJVQG3

Now you will ask why the For Rent attribute is not showing under the Buying option dropdown here: https://ibb.co/j57s1FD Because you have not assigned any product to the For Rent attribute: https://ibb.co/k6smbxw You should at least assign one product then it will auto show under the Buying Option dropdown on the frontend.

Thanks for sharing in depth details, now i got it.

We want to showcase all available attributes even the ones that don’t have any product inside, cause our client wants them to be visible all available options to customers, what’s the code to add to make that work that way instead of dynamic?

It requires customizations and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.
