Edit Order of Product Categories…

Hi,
I received a reply from Elise on another thread to this question, but it won’t allow me to reply on that thread.
This is regarding the reordering of items in a product category. Elise suggested I use the ‘Order by’ option – but this does not work for me. As you can see from the screenshot attached.
This is related to the second content block on my homepage. Could someone advise how I can reorder these product categories?

Apologies for the delay in coming back to you on this matter. Just a quick reminder that I’m looking to reorder the category items on the website homepage. As you can see from the attached two screenshots from the WordPress and live site, these are not appearing in the order I would like.
Login details in the Private Content area.
Also whilst we are here – when the user hovers our each category, it shows the number of products within that category. Could you tell me how to edit the colour of this ‘150 Products’ text label please?
