Edit the number of categories shown and change the style

Hi!
I need to change the number of categories shown per line on the archive page.
On a archive page of a parent category (which includes several subcategories) I need to change the number of categories show per line.
On the theme settings > Product Archieve > Category Style there is no option for the number of categories.

Please, clarify which categories you want to change on the archive page (would be better if you attach some screenshots for a better understanding)
