Hi, I loaded Woodmart on our staging site, and I’ve been customizing it for a week, trying to get it to a place where I can move it over to the live site. I LOVE the theme, and everything has been going smoothly…until I began editing the home page. I’m using one of your many excellent home page demo templates. Now, when I try to make an edit on the home page, the staging site is bogged down in time-out errors.

I’ve done so much work on customizing this theme, that the thought of starting over almost makes me ill. Would someone be willing to login to our staging site and help me figure out why the home page keeps crashing things? (I’m attaching login info and the PHP warning generated by the theme.) Thanks!

    Hello,

Please, send us a step-by-step algorithm about how to reproduce this issue. Also, provide us your FTP access so we can troubleshoot the problem.

    Kind Regards

Just before your reply, my site host contacted me and provided me with a free trial hosting upgrade. The increased resources seem to have fixed the problem for now. Previously, I encountered the problem every time I clicked the “Update” button after editing the home page.

I will post again if I keep having issues once my hosting is downgraded (after this trial period).

This brings up another question though: I am concerned about all of the extra material that was downloaded for the various Woodmart demos I tried out. Once I get the site exactly how I want it, how do I slim down my files to just what I need to run the site? Do I just manually delete media and pages that I don’t need? Thanks.

    Hello,

Yes, you need to clean up all the dummy content manually. Unfortunately, there is no automatic mechanism for this process.

    Kind Regards
