Effect of the dark image (demo beer)

I’m trying to replicate the effect you created in the demo dedicated to beer, on my website you can find it at this link:

in particular I’m interested in replicating the effect of the dark image in any section of the page, and having the effect (as in your demo) by scrolling down the page, everything becomes dark and tending to black.
I tried to set and insert various backgrounds in the demo section of your page but the effect is not replicated, in particular you can not see the background image. give me a hand please.

Actually, there are no any effects used for this section in our theme. It is how original image uploaded as a background for this section looks. You can see it here https://xtemos3.r.worldssl.net/basel/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/back-subscribe.jpg

I see an effect by scrolling the page down and up, just in this section, especially in your demo and as you can see in the video, the background image is initially completely black, then gradually you start to see, and finally it becomes black again always scrolling downward, and inverse effect flowing towards the other. How can I get this?
