my site keeps showing critical error. I have narrowed down the issue to Elementor plugin that is pre-packaged with Woodmart theme. Once I deactivate the plugin, the website comes back up and works fine. I have already upgraded the php version to 8.3 in my hosting account. The problem still persists. Please assist in resolving the issue asap. Thanks

    Hello,

Please deactivate all the 3rd party plugins and activate only theme-required plugins on the site and then check the issue. I am sure your issue will be solved. Then Activate the 3rd party plugins one by one and check which plugin is creating the issue for you.

Otherwise, if the issue still exists then keep the 3rd party plugins deactivated and share the WP admin login details of your site so I will check and give you a possible solution.

    Best Regards

We have already deactivated 3rd party plugins and pinpointed the issue. I have informed you that the Elementor plugin is causing the critical error. Same issue is being reported by many users of Woodmart on the woodmart forum. I have also applied all updates, patches and updated php to version 8.3 to see if that would resolve the issue. Critical error is still showing up with Elementor activated. If I switch the theme to 2024/2023, critical error goes away. As pointed out before, error is being caused by Elementor active on woodmart. I have now disabled all plugins and activated theme critical plugins. Please see attached image. Critical error is still showing up. I am enclosing login credentials. Kindly login to the site to resolve the issue. Prompt resolution will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,

You need to contact your hosting provider and ask to resolve this problem from their side. It may be some memory limit on the server. There is no issue with the theme.

Please share this image to the hosting provider support https://ibb.co/7YXXX2X they will check and solve the issue from the server.

    Best Regards.

    Hello,

To better assist you, could you kindly test the functionality with default WordPress themes such as TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront? This will help us determine whether the issue stems from our theme or elsewhere.

    Regards

Hi, I’m not sure if you’ve read through the text I have been posting here for the past few days? I have already mentioned here that the Woodmart theme was deactivated and theme 2024 was enabled to see if the issue still persisted. no issue was detected on theme 2024. Critical error disappeared and site loaded fine. Issue lies with the Woodmart theme and Elementor plugin.

also note that I have also posted here that I disabled the elementor plugin after which the site came up fine with woodmart activated.

I also installed Elementor plugin after disabling the pre-packaged version. Same Critical error showed up with downloaded elementor, elementor pro etc.
    Hope this info helps.
    Thanks

    Hello,

But as we understood from your previous reply, there is no critical error on your website after memory increase, right? Now you have issue with multiple requests. So we ask you to check if these requests appear with our theme only. Let me know if you got you wrong.

    Kind Regards

Actually I did that after the critical error was removed by hosting support. The website would not come up and kept showing “loading”. I disabled all plugins with Woodmart active. Website showed same error. I deleted woodmart and activated Theme 2024 and site came back up fine. please see the shared pictures. I have left the theme 2024 on for your reference.

In the header, a menu was displayed that called an HTML block that called a menu of categories –
    https://monosnap.com/file/E0B5KCmcXkT05o2KPOWLZT8N0ydQAX
and this menu had links to the non-existent Menu-category menu
    https://monosnap.com/file/aeuDuDDD6uL1YfZukRs63FKy5vv7fl
I removed this menu, now it works. Please check it from your end.
