I am experiencing a severe Elementor editor performance issue when using WoodMart together with WooCommerce and Elementor Pro.
The editor eventually opens, but it can take several minutes. The widgets panel may remain stuck, and Elementor displays the “Activate Safe Mode” message shortly before the editor finally loads.
I performed the following tests on a new, empty Elementor page:
Test 1:
– Theme: WooCommerce Storefront
– Active plugins: Elementor and WooCommerce only
– Result: The editor loaded reasonably well and was functional.
Test 2:
– Theme: WoodMart parent theme
– Active plugins: Elementor, WooCommerce and WoodMart Core only
– Result: The editor took longer to load, but eventually opened.
Test 3:
– Theme: WoodMart parent theme
– Active plugins: Elementor, Elementor Pro, WooCommerce and WoodMart Core only
– Result: The editor became significantly slower. It eventually opened just as Elementor displayed the Safe Mode prompt.
All other third-party plugins were disabled during these tests, including LiteSpeed Cache, Loginizer and Loginizer Pro.
Current environment:
– WordPress: 7.1.1
– WoodMart: 8.6.1
– WoodMart Core: 1.1.9
– WooCommerce: 11.1.0
– Elementor: 4.2.4
– Elementor Pro: 4.2.3
– PHP: 8.3
– WP Memory Limit: 512M
– WP Max Memory Limit: 512M
– PHP Memory Limit: 2048M
– PHP Max Input Vars: 50000
– Server software: LiteSpeed
Troubleshooting already completed:
– Updated WoodMart and WoodMart Core.
– Tested both PHP 8.4 and PHP 8.3.
– Increased the WordPress memory limit to 512M.
– Cleared Elementor files and data.
– Enabled Elementor’s alternative editor loader method.
– Tested Firefox, Chrome and incognito mode.
– Tested with the WoodMart parent theme, WoodMart Child, Hello Elementor and Storefront.
– Tested with a completely new and empty Elementor page.
– Disabled every non-essential plugin.
The Elementor log also previously recorded this WoodMart JavaScript error:
e(...).wc_variation_form is not a function
Could you please investigate whether there is a known performance or compatibility issue involving these versions of WoodMart, WooCommerce, Elementor and Elementor Pro?
