horny_fungusParticipantHi, I have a widget added to sidebar. According to the settings of plugin providing the widget it should be hidden on mobile. It is hidden indeed, but floating sidebar icon is shown. When you click it – it’s empty. Check details below:

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
You can turn off the sidebar on mobile from Theme Settings >> General Layout >> Turn off the Off canvas sidebar for mobile option.
Please see the screenshot: http://prnt.sc/pmz94g
Best Regards.

horny_fungusParticipantI know that I can turn it off, but I don’t want to turn off this function completely. I just don’t want it to be shown than there’s no content in it.

horny_fungusParticipantHere’s what plugin support representative told me:
“About the empty tab: That is not really a Judge.me tab; exploring it I can see a class inside called “sidebar-inner woodmart-sidebar-scroll ” If Woodmart is your theme or an app installed on your shop maybe you could try reaching their support for it.”October 23, 2019 at 3:07 pm #151945
Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
First of all, you are using a 3rd party plugin for the sidebar. Sorry to say that this is not possible to show the sidebar on mobile when the sidebar has widgets and do not show the sidebar on mobile when it has no widgets. It requires customization and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.
Best Regards.

horny_fungusParticipantI can’t agree here. I tried hiding sidebar via plugin options, via adding CSS and via using a well respected plugin Widget Options (https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-options/). None of these methods worked. I am still able to see the tab for empty sidebar. This is definitely a bug and should be adressed.
I can imagine a lot of situations when you want to hide some widget on mobile just because the screen is too small or you don’t want to overload CPU of smartphone with javascript etc. And currently this leads to poor user experience of having useless sidebar button with now widgets inside.October 24, 2019 at 12:57 pm #152134
Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
As I already describes you that it requires customization and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.
We will try to provide this functionality in the near future coming updates of the Theme.
Best Regards.

horny_fungusParticipantI didn’t say that it needs an urgent fix, but please upgrade this off canvas sidebar button behaviour in future updates.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Sure, Thanks for sharing the suggestion/feature request with us, I am forwarding this to our development department for considering to add it in the theme, but I am not giving you the guarantee for that because please note that a theme cannot satisfy all requirements as it may occur theme heaviness. Sometimes it may require your own customization. So if the development department finds it fit with the theme environment then surely they will look through it.
Best Regards.
