I updated woodmart core package recently, and since then, the website is broken and I cant access it anymore

When I try to change the folder name woodmart-core through the FTP, the website works again, but a lot of css is broken (probably because I need woodmart-core).
I tried to reinstall woodmart through the page Theme plugins of Woodmart, but when I do so, the website is once again broken.

    Hello,

This issue usually happens when the WoodMart Core plugin version does not match the theme version or the update process gets interrupted, causing a conflict.

Make sure your WoodMart theme and WoodMart Core plugin are updated > Delete the current woodmart-core plugin completely via FTP:

    /wp-content/plugins/woodmart-core/

    Then reinstall it from:
Dashboard > Appearance > Install Plugins > Clear all caches and check how it works.

    Best Regards

I just did what you proposed, and am using Woodmart Core 1.1.7 with Woodmart 8.5.1, and I still have the same problem

    Hello,

Make a full backup of your site and keep all plugins that are not related to our theme temporarily turned off and switch to the parent/default theme for testing. Also please share your cPanel or FTP login details so I can check and provide a possible solution?

    Best Regards

    Hello,

I see that there are some theme-related files present outside the standard WordPress directory structure, which is likely causing the conflict after updating WoodMart Core.

    See this screenshot: https://postimg.cc/XGrtYytR

WordPress should only load theme and plugin files from the /wp-content/themes/ and /wp-content/plugins/ folders, and if any WoodMart or related files exist outside these directories, they can interfere with normal loading and break the site after updates.

Try to remove only the duplicated or misplaced theme/plugin files that are outside the WordPress installation folder. Do not delete anything from core WordPress directories such as /wp-admin/, /wp-includes/, or any other system files, as removing those can completely break the website and may require a full WordPress reinstall.

Once the unnecessary external copies are removed, reinstall the WoodMart Core plugin again from Appearance > Install Plugins, and then clear all caches and check the issue.

    Best Regards

    Hello,

We have checked this further and it looks like the issue is not related to WoodMart only.

Even after switching to a default WordPress theme, the frontend is still not loading properly, while only the backend is accessible. This indicates that the problem is coming from the WordPress installation itself, not the theme or WoodMart Core plugin.

It is possible that some core files or folder structure were modified/renamed during troubleshooting, which has now caused the site to break.

    See screenshots:

At this point, the safest solution is:
    – Take a full backup of your site (content, database, media)
    – Export your pages, posts, and products
    – Set up a fresh WordPress installation
    – Import the data into the new site

This will ensure a clean environment and prevent hidden files or installation conflicts.

    Best Regards
