Error in updating version 1.7 to 1.8

Thank you so much for contacting our support center.

We don’t know why but menus are in wrong locations at the moment and you just need to choose right menu as a main navigation in Appearance -> Menus -> Manage locations.

1. I also just noticed that the footer is missing after the upgrade version 1.8
I tried to disable and then enable the footer in the Themes Settings – Footer tab. However
it did not still show the footer.

FYI, Below 2 queries is not due to version changes.

2. On my home page, I added an element from your template in the page builder. I have changed the background color to # ffffff, however there is some parts that was not able to be changed color. Please see this image for your understanding – https://ibb.co/bMA26b

3. I was also not able to find the new added home page “HOME MARKETPLACE” from the PAGES tab. However I noticed it in the dummy content section and in the Demo version’s pull down selector. I wanted to extract some templates element only and do not want to use the page as my home page. I am using the default home page. Just wanted to add some elements from your new demo Marketplace page.

Hi,

1. Most likely, footer widgets are missed also and you need to restore them in Appearance -> Widgets.

2. You should be able to remove this background image for that row with Visual Composer too.

3. You can import the page you want firstly, then activate your base home page back. Or you can import particular pages XML files via Dashboard -> Tools -> Import -> WordPress. XML files for import can be found in the folder inc/dummy-content/.

Thank you for your help.
I did managed to fix the 2nd and 3rd issues. However the 1st issue regarding the missing footer, I cannot fix it. As you suggested, I checked the widget section and the footer widgets are all there in the widget section and enabled. I tried for nearly an hour without success.

I also like some minor custom work on my home page. I am willing to pay for your services.
I am using the default theme with the the vertical menu. I do not want the full slider as in the default theme. I need to have some image links like your marketplace page. Please see the image for idea. The vertical menu should be there plus the 9 images with 3 x 1/4 columns. Please let me know if you are available.

I am not sure what text or code in that footer1 widget. At the moment I have not added any custom code or text. Only your template items. Pls send me the details for that. It is very frustrating to see sudden changes when we upgrade. Looks like not stable.

Try to add a text widget there with the following code
