EMParticipantHello,
After updating to 8.1 I have a problem with the Gutenberg blocks in the layouts in the woodmart theme. All other blocks work normally without the error, but xtemos block has error:
Error loading blcok – The response is not in a JSON response
I tested adding an xtemos block in a standard post/page there is no problem, so the problem is only in woodmart layouts.
When opening some woodmart layout all hosting limits are at 100% (Physical Memory Usage, I/O Usage, SPEED Usage)
I wrote to the hosting company, they raised my limits, but still have this error.
Before the update to 8.1 this problem was not there.
I have no other plugins installed on the site, pure wordpress + woodmart + wooThanks!

EMParticipantApologies misspelling error, the correct one is:
Error loading block the response is not a valid JSON responseMarch 3, 2025 at 10:30 am #642214

Artem TemosKeymasterWe checked your website and see that some requests are blocked by the server and return 503 error https://gyazo.com/e6326e854491d20d1cfbbcf6efb79809
This error is a generic server error so you need to ask your hosting provider why it can’t handle these particular requests. Or you can ignore them since they will not affect your layout on the frontend.Kind Regards

EMParticipantThanks for the reply, I have contacted my hosting.
They did the necessary tests and the answer is that the xtemos blocks themselves make a huge amount of POST requests (an incredible amount, which is not normal block operation)
And for this reason, just from opening to editing a woodmart layout consumes 95% of the hosting account resources.Notice that the other 5% is the normal workload of over 30 sites!
Could you please optimize the xtemos blocks to not load so much resources, it is not normal to just with the opening take up 1.2 GB ram on the server

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
When you open the custom layout with Gutenberg editor, all dynamic blocks are loaded separately using POST request. You can notice this by the amount of circle loaders on the page. It is how the Gutenberg editor works with any theme. So one dynamic block = one post request. The amount of these requests corresponds to the amount of dynamic blocks. There is nothing we can do to change this behaviour.
But as we mentioned, it is only on the backend. It doesn’t have any post requests on the frontend.Kind Regards

EMParticipantThank you for the detailed information.
Yes this problem only comes up when editing a layout but due to the fact that I fill the hosting account resources to 100% more blocks are not loading because they return a 503 error.
Because of this, you cannot make any changes or settings to the blocks that have not loaded. Is there a way to optimise these blocks?
Thanks!

Artem TemosKeymasterCould you please clarify what exactly you mean by optimize these blocks? As far as I understand, the problem is not in the blocks but in the number of POST requests. So do you mean to reduce the number of blocks?

EMParticipantI’ve done another test, moved the site to a whole new hosting, with 2GB ram and a much stronger CPU than before and I’m trying to open a layout.
Hosting stats > https://imgur.com/a/JFpVVAF
Is this normal behavior to fill up all these resources and not even be able to load all the blocks and this is just when trying to load layout.
Because of this when I try to edit some block nothing happens because they are not fully loaded.I really like your work and this theme a lot, that’s why I have chosen to build a site on it, for the sake of speed, but now I can’t even set it up.

Artem TemosKeymasterCan you try to use a different hosting provider like Cloudways, Kinsta, Bluehost or WP Engine? Please create a fresh installation so we can check how it works.
March 4, 2025 at 4:17 pm #642720
EMParticipantI did a test on a new hosting with a new clean installation – exactly the same problem.
I think the problem is generic and it appeared with 8.1 before it did not have this problem.
Could you please address this problem!

Artem TemosKeymasterPlease send us your admin access to this installation so we can check.

EMParticipantHere are login info from completely new and clean installation of wordpress + woodmart core + woo + woodmart demo content
Just open some layout and see errors in almost every xtemos block.Attachments:

Artem TemosKeymasterWe tried to navigate through the website but pages are not loaded correctly. And some time takes to much time to load. I didn’t even open the custom layout. Can you create a sample website on some of the hosting from the list? Cloudways, Kinsta, Bluehost or WP Engine
March 7, 2025 at 6:54 pm #643963
EMParticipantNo, I will not buy another hosting.
On my side the site loads quite normally.
However, I described what the problem is and where exactly, replicate it on your side and testMarch 10, 2025 at 10:36 am #644358
Artem TemosKeymasterIn this case, we can conclude that your hosting is not suitable for our theme and for WordPress in general. You can request a refund here https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new
