yes you can do that.
the server say that the problem is not from them.

It seems some 3rd party plugins affect it as after deactivation them, the product layout is imported – https://gyazo.com/98c72ecb687decd7ccb1776bb8e6bfec
So you can deactivate them, import the layout and enable back plugins.
