ERROR UPDATE THEME 4.2.1

I’m not able to update the 4.2.1 version of Basel, are giving this error, could you help me?

Hello,

Thank you for choosing our theme and contacting us.

Try to do the following:

1. Go to Dashboard -> Basel -> Theme License and deactivate the theme.

2. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click on Check Again.

3. Activate the theme with your purchase code again.

4. Try to update the theme.

If I will follow the above steps, what will happen with all the changes which I made in the Basel Child Theme?
