lost.hinataParticipantHello Woodmart Support,
I recently activated the estimated delivery date feature with specific rules targeting certain product categories — and that part is working fine.
However, for the rest of the products (those not covered by a specific rule), I would like them to show a default delivery time of 3 to 5 working days.
Currently, no delivery date is being displayed for those products.I’ve included an example product in the private section below, along with access to my WordPress admin panel.
⚠️ Please be careful when checking — this is the live site, as always. The goal is to have:
My specific rules applied correctly to defined categories
And a global default message (3 to 5 working days) shown for all other products without rules
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Cédric M.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Go to > Products > Estimate Delivery > Add New
Give it a name like Default Delivery Estimate.
Set any non-delivery days (Sunday).
Set Minimum & Maximum Days:
Minimum days: 3
Maximum days: 5Estimate Delivery Condition:
Set this to “All Products” or to a condition that excludes the categories already covered by your specific rules

lost.hinataParticipantHello,
Thank you for your reply, but I’m afraid I didn’t fully understand your suggestion.
I already have a global rule in place that should apply to all products on the site, with an estimated delivery time of 3 to 5 working days.
So when you recommend creating a rule, I’m a bit confused — because this rule already exists.
I’ve opened my admin panel to double-check, and everything seems to be configured correctly.
Could you please clarify your answer?
I may be missing something, but I just want to make sure the global rule is working properly for all products not covered by specific category rules.Thank you for your help and sorry for the confusion!

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Sorry for the inconvenience. You have shared the example product in the private area and you want to show the “default delivery time of 3 to 5 working days.” for those products.
You said, Currently, no delivery date is being displayed for those products.
But i have checked this product and see the delivery date is showing when you add the product to the cart.
https://ibb.co/ch3JQFt5I found that in the Estimate Delivery rule settings, you had selected specific shipping methods under the “Shipping zone and method” option. Leaving this field empty will apply the rule to all available shipping zones and methods when you visit the site.

lost.hinataParticipantHello Woodmart Support,
As shown in the attached screenshot, I recently removed the shipping methods from the global delivery rule that applies to all products on the site.
After doing this, the estimated delivery dates now display correctly on the product pages — which was not the case before, even though I hadn’t made any changes.
I’m not entirely sure why this happened, but removing the shipping methods appears to have resolved the issue.Additionally, I have set up custom rules for specific categories with different delivery times, and those work perfectly.
Each product shows the correct delivery time according to the rule I assigned it — so for now, everything is working as expected. ✅However, I have one last question:
As you can see, in the “Blenders” category, I’ve assigned a longer delivery timeframe (more than the usual 3–5 working days), and this is displaying correctly on the front-end.
But in this case, I still have shipping methods assigned in the rule — and it works.
Could you please clarify why it behaves differently from the global rule?Thank you again for your help and clear explanations!
Best regards,

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Thank you for your detailed update — I’m glad to hear the estimated delivery dates are now displaying correctly across your site.
To clarify your question about the difference in behavior between the global rule and the category-specific rule:
When you assign specific shipping methods to a delivery rule, that rule will only apply when the selected shipping method is active during checkout.
However, on the product page, the system may not yet know which shipping method the customer will choose — especially for global/general rules — which can prevent the delivery estimate from appearing at all.
It’s likely that the assigned shipping methods match the default or most common method used when viewing those products. As a result, the condition is being met on the product page and the delivery estimate displays as expected.
Hope you can understand!
Best Regards,
